WHAT IS AN EPC
An EPC stands for ‘ Energy Performance certificate’ and rates properties in terms of energy efficiency. So your property will be rated between A to G. The most energy efficient homes will be an A with G being the lowest rating.
An EPC must be commissioned before the property is put on the market to sell and making it available to prospective buyers or tenants wanting to rent.

you can receive a fine for anything between £500.00 – 5,000.00 without one. The fine is based on
the ratable value of the building
